MAKEUP BOOKINGS & CANCELLATION POLICY
These terms and conditions apply to makeup services provided by Alyssa Whiston ‘Alyssa Elle’ ABN 62326209146 to you. Upon booking a makeup service with Makeup By Alyssa Elle you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
To secure your makeup booking, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 40% is required. This must be paid within 7 days of receiving your invoice, otherwise your date will not be held. Please use your invoice number and name as the payment reference.
If you need to change your booking date, the deposit can be transferred to the new date (subject to availability). However, any updated pricing at the time of the new booking will apply.
In the event of a cancellation:
Cancellations made within 4 weeks of the booking date will incur a charge of 70% of the remaining balance.
Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the booking date will incur a charge of 100% of the remaining balance.
If the number of persons requiring makeup decreases from what was originally booked, you will be charged in full for each person cancelled.
As a small business, I often turn down other inquiries once your date is reserved. These policies help protect the time and resources set aside for your special day.
The remaining balance will be invoiced separately and must be paid on or before the day of your booking.
EVENT MAKEUP APPOINTMENTS
All makeup appointments $30 deposit, the remaining amount is to be paid in full either prior to or on the day via Cash or EFT. All deposits are non-refundable and therefore will not be refunded in the case of a cancellation.
Your deposit can be transferred to another booking for yourself, this must be used within the next 3 months. For full cancellation policy, please see T&C’s
I will travel on request for a group of 3 or more and require a minimum $30 travel fee within the Forster Tuncurry area and an additional fee of $1 per km anywhere exceeding that area. This will be included in your deposit invoice. The deposit is subtracted from your total balance, and the remaining cost is to be paid in full via bank transfer or on Eftpos on the day. Please arrive at your appointment on time, with an entirely clean, makeup free and cleansed face.
Health & Hygiene Policy
For the safety of all clients and to maintain the hygiene of my kit, I kindly ask that you notify me ahead of time if you are experiencing any contagious conditions such as cold sores, eye infections, styes, conjunctivitis, or skin infections.
While I follow strict hygiene and sanitisation practices, I am unable to apply makeup to areas affected by active infections, as this poses a risk of cross-contamination. If this applies to you, I’ll be more than happy to reschedule your appointment to a later date once the condition has cleared.
Your health—and the cleanliness of my kit—is a top priority. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
Personal Information
To ensure a safe and personalised service, Alyssa requires clients to disclose any known allergies, skin sensitivities, or reactions to cosmetic products. While all care is taken to use professional, high-quality products, Alyssa Whiston is not liable for any adverse reactions that may occur, including but not limited to eczema, irritation, or sensitivity of the skin or eyes.
You may also be required to provide personal details such as your full name, contact information, home address, and payment details. If you prefer not to provide certain information, please contact makeupbyalyssaelle@gmail.com. However, please note that incomplete or inaccurate information may limit the services I’m able to offer.
All information collected is kept strictly confidential and is used solely for the purpose for which it was provided. Personal information is stored securely in an electronic system, accessible only by authorised personnel.
Other Fees
Early Start Fees
An early start fee applies to bookings scheduled before 7:00 AM:
6:00 AM start – $30
5:00 AM start – $60
Before 5:00 AM – $100
Public Holiday Surcharge
A 20% surcharge applies to bookings on public holidays that Makeup By Alyssa Elle operates on.
Please check with Alyssa first to confirm availability on public holidays, as not all dates are open for bookings.
Travel Fee
A minimum travel fee of $30 applies to all destination bookings and mobile services. For locations outside the Forster–Tuncurry area, additional charges will apply at $1 per kilometre.
If overnight accommodation is required due to distance or early start times, this will be included in your quote and charged at cost plus an additional fee.
For appointments held at my home studio, there is plenty of free street parking available. Please allow extra travel time to ensure you arrive on time, as arriving late may impact the duration or quality of your service.
Cancellations
All deposits are non-refundable and will not be returned under any circumstances. However, deposits can be transferred to another booking for yourself, provided it is used within 3 months of the original booking date. If you need to cancel or reschedule your makeup appointment, please notify me as soon as possible in line with the notice periods outlined below.
Cancellation Fees
Cancellations made within 4 weeks of your booking: 70% of the remaining balance will be charged.

No-shows or failure to provide notice: Your deposit will be forfeited, and the remaining balance will be due in full.
I understand that plans can change, but as a small business, I often turn away other bookings to hold your date. These policies are in place to protect the time and preparation I dedicate to each client.
Group Bookings
If the number of clients in a destination group booking decreases after a deposit is made, you will be charged 50% of the service fee for each cancelled person. For wedding bookings, if the number of people requiring makeup decreases within 4 weeks of the date, you will be charged in full for each cancelled person.
The travel fee remains unchanged regardless of group size changes.
If your group size increases and my pricing has changed, any additional clients will be charged at the current rate.
If the number of people drops below the 3-person minimum for mobile bookings, you will still be charged the equivalent of 3 full services for me to travel to you.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Alyssa Whiston requires information on whether the client has allergies or any sensitivities you may experience with products. In no event shall Alyssa Whiston have any liability for incidental, or consequential damages however characterised, for example eczema, sensitive skin and eyes.
You may be required to provide information such as your full name, telephone number, home address and payment details. In the event you do not wish for this information to be collected, you are advised to email makeupbyalyssaelle@gmail.com directly. Providing incomplete or inaccurate information may incur limitations on what services I can provide you. All information provided by you is confidential, it is solely used for the purpose it was collected.
All personal information is securely stored electronically, which only authorised personnel have access to.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Alyssa Whiston reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of her make-up applications, and may use any such photographs for promotional and/or commercial purposes - only with your consent, of course!
COSMETIC TATTOO / PERMANENT MAKEUP POLICY
DEPOSITS
To secure your cosmetic tattooing appointment, a $150 deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit goes toward the total cost of your treatment.
Please note: All deposits are non-refundable, but they can be transferred if you reschedule with at least 72 hours' notice. I totally understand that life happens, and I’m happy to move your appointment as long as you give enough notice.
BEFORE BOOKING – IMPORTANT HEALTH INFO
If any of the following apply to you, please get in touch with me before booking so we can discuss your suitability for treatment:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You have serious health conditions or are on medications that may interfere with healing or the tattoo process (e.g. blood thinners, Roaccutane, chemotherapy, etc.)
You have previous cosmetic tattooing by another artist
You’ve had allergic reactions to numbing cream, makeup, or hair dye
You have extensive sun damage in the area to be treated (especially brows)
If you’re unsure about anything, I’m always happy to chat and guide you through the process.
ARRIVAL INFO
Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment, and give yourself extra time for parking.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will need to be rescheduled and your deposit will be forfeited. A new deposit will be required to rebook if you're inside the 72-hour window.
To keep the space calm and focused, I kindly ask that you come alone to your appointment. The studio isn’t suitable for children, and having no distractions allows me to give you my full attention during our consultation, design, and tattooing process.
NO-SHOW POLICY
If you don’t show up to your appointment and no notice is given, 100% of the appointment fee will be charged. Please be respectful of my time and other clients waiting for appointments.
RESULTS + FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS
Everyone’s skin is unique, and because of this, healed results can vary from person to person. While I take every measure to ensure your brows or lips are done with care and precision, there are things outside of my control that can impact healing—such as how your skin retains pigment, bleeding, medications, or not following aftercare instructions properly.
Please keep in mind that cosmetic tattooing is a minimum two-step process, and sometimes a third touch-up is needed. Touch-up sessions are not included in the initial price and will incur a separate fee.
I do not offer refunds based on individual healed results.
HAVE EXISTING BROW TATTOOS?
If you’ve had your brows tattooed elsewhere and are considering a cover-up or correction, please send me clear photos with no makeup on to makeupbyalyssaelle@gmail.com before booking.
In some cases—if your previous tattoo is too dark, large, or saturated—treatment may not be possible straight away. I’ll advise if fading or removal is needed first. Please also note that cover-up work often requires multiple sessions to achieve the best possible results.
